Christmas spirit

Terry put up our Christmas "tree" this weekend as we're getting into the holiday spirit. I saw this idea in Domino magazine, and we were just trying to decide whether to go get a tree or not. We like to get potted trees and then plant them afterward, but they keep dying, so this tree was a perfect alternative. Very festive! 

This last week should be very busy, and then we're flying out to Colorado to see my family for a few days at Christmas. Hopefully there won't be any flying headaches, and it will be good to see everyone. If I don't post before then (and I haven't been so good at keeping up with the blog), happy holidays! 

It's a Cat Weekend

Cold weather has moved in to Boston, so this weekend was quite laid back and we spent some "quality time" with Pedro and Turbo. Pedro is conked out due to the heat from my laptop, and Turbo is licking her lips after being drugged up on some catnip. Quite the weekend for those two.

We also saw an excellent movie this weekend though, and we would definitely recommend you all see it. We hit up Kendall Square Cinemas to see "Slumdog Millionaire," directed by Danny Boyle, one of our fave directors. The movie is fantastic, and really sweet, though there are a few tough scenes. Anyway, go see it, and if you live in the Boston area, keep warm!! Brrrrr... 

Long relaxing weekend

After a long weekend in Colorado doing "wedding research" with my mom, and having my return flight cancelled, followed by a night meeting at work, I was completely exhausted. As a result, Terry and I spent the entire weekend lazing about, sleeping in and eating pizza. It was fantastic. But I don't have any pictures to share.

All that time in the airport and on the plane did give me the opportunity to read a lot though, and I recommend two books: The Myth of You and Me, by Leah Stewart, and Persuasian, by Jane Austen. One modern book and one old one, but both good reads. And The Myth of You and Me takes place partly in Boston, so that's always good!
