Seinfeld

I can't believe the weekend is already over, but it's Sunday night and Terry and I are about to sit down to a delicious (and not good for you) meal of home-cooked chicken pot pie and mashed potatoes. We actually started the weekend off with a trip to Providence to see Seinfeld at the Providence Performing Arts Center. That's him on stage in the not-so-clear pic. He was awesome, and highly worth the drive. Also, the Providence theatre is one of those gorgeous gold-gilded ones, so that was a bonus. If you like Seinfeld, I highly recommend seeing him when he comes by on his tour.

This weekend I also made a trip to a bridal outlet with half off designer wedding dresses, and was highly overwhelmed. The saleswomen were so pushy! Stephanie had my back, and continues to talk sense into me before I put my credit card down. It was my third attempt to find a wedding dress, and I will have to keep looking. If you have any suggestions for places, please send them along!

Finally, this weekend was nice and warm, and will likely be the last nice day of the year. I've been investing in warm (and water resistant) clothes to try to make it through. All of those people who live in warm places (I'm thinking of you, Sara and Robyn), I'm jealous.

Race Day!

So, after going to several of Terry's road races and holding people's stuff, Terry convinced me to run a road race with him and his friends, Joe, Adam and Melissa. So today, when it was FREEZING out, we headed to West Newton to give it a try. I didn't collapse or sprain my ankle, nor was I the last one to finish the race, so I consider it a success! Plus, we got to drink lots of free beer afterwards. That's always nice.

Anyway, I'm really impressed with Terry. He ran the race at my pace, which was obviously much slower than what he's used to, after he flew to Montreal and back on Friday and Saturday for his friend George's bachelor party, and then we went to Joe's Halloween party last night. He has had one marathon weekend. And he's still faster than me. He didn't give me any pics from the bachelor party to post though. Funny thing about that.

Long Weekend

We both had Monday off this weekend, so we headed down to the cape and then capped it all off with apple picking. We were hoping to see a lost manatee that was in Dennis, but by the time we got there they had started transporting it back to Florida. We were very sad to hear the poor thing died on the way down. We can't imagine how it made it all the way up to Massachusetts in the first place!

The weather has been awesome, and I'm soaking up as much sun as possible since I know eventually we will be in a deep freeze! The apple picking was awesome, but of course now I have all sorts of apples I don't know what to do with. Terry is happy that our apple picking day likely capped off all of my required fall New England activities. Until next year of course!
