New Anniversary

I hope everyone is having a nice long weekend and enjoyed Valentine's Day. Terry and I kept it simple and went out for dinner, and Terry made me this awesome card. Such a sweetheart. 

Today is the one-year anniversary for when we first got engaged. We'll have some champagne to celebrate, but otherwise, I think we may be romanced out. But it's nice to have some time off to relax together. And Terry did some manly work on our new shower curtain rod. Now we have a curved shower curtain like in a hotel. It's the little things that are important, after all.

Kid Movie Time

Terry and I went to see the new movie "Coraline" this weekend. A very good movie that was totally creepy. It's animated, but still pretty scary, part of which involved taking out people's eyes and putting in buttons instead. Yeah, buttons. I find that a somewhat creepy concept. Also, it's in 3D, which is a nice touch. I think Terry and I were the oldest people in the theatre without children. Overall though, we really liked it, and then went to get margaritas and appetizers for dinner afterwards. 

This weekend we had a warmup in Boston, with temperatures into the 40s and 50s. Terry even opened the windows for a little while to bring in some fresh air. Hopefully this is a sign of the end of winter! Cross your fingers. 

Baby time

Terry and I babysat Stephanie and Jeff's babe Lindsay Friday night, and we're pleased to say that everyone had a good time, possibly even Lindsay. She was a good start to our weekend, which came after what seemed like a never ending work week. And Stephanie and Jeff got a few hours to themselves to have a nice dinner out. All in all, a success! 

We also hung out Saturday night at our friends' Rich and Melissa's house for Rich's surprise going away party. Rich is heading down to D.C. for a fantastic promotion, and Melissa will follow a few months afterwards. We're happy for them, yet so sad to see them leave! Apparently Terry and I ruined the surprise because he saw our car parked on the street, even though we'd parked a block and a half away. He said he had suspected anyway. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures from last night that are fit to publish online. You can just use your imagination.
